DLN Founder, Ashley Holá

Our Story

Meet Ashley Nkambule-Holá, a remarkable individual who wears multiple hats as a wife, mother, academic researcher, businesswoman and an expat woman living in Prague. With an extensive travel history encompassing approximately 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, Ashley's global experiences have shaped her perspective and enriched her life. Hailing from the small Southern African country of Swaziland, she embarked on her expat journey years ago, eventually settling in the Czech Republic in early 2021.

Ashley's professional journey began in ESwatini (formerly known as Swaziland) where she graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and worked several years as a Certified Procurement Specialist—an esteemed position she held before leaving her home country to try for greener pastures in the USA. However, instead her academic pursuits led her to Taiwan, where she was awarded a scholarship to pursue both her Master's and Ph.D. in Accounting.

Upon her move to the Czech Republic, Ashley transitioned into the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom. However, she soon discovered the challenges of meeting new people, making friends, and building productive networks—especially as a stay at home mom in a foreign country with a complex language to master.

Recognizing the need for a tailored community that fosters inspiring, uplifting, and productive connections among expat women, particularly those navigating critical points in their lives and careers, Ashley founded the Dear Ladies Podcast in September 2022. The podcast serves as a platform to address and amplify the issues faced by expat women on a daily basis while living abroad.

Driven by her belief in the importance of conducting personal life audits to align goals with aspirations and adapt them as one evolves, Ashley expanded her podcast concept to establish Dear Ladies Network . This vibrant community fills the gap in expat support, offering resources and opportunities for career advancement, business growth, and personal development. At the Dear Ladies Network Club, women are encouraged to share their personal and professional stories to empower others through the lessons learned from both successes and failures
